A Theology of Abundance
A theology of scarcity causes us to close our fingers around God’s gifts.
We’d better hang on to that one
because it might be the last one.
We know what we’ve done wrong
and must trick God into thinking
we’re deserving of these gifts.
A theology of abundance
keeps our fingers splayed open
and allows us to give our gifts away
because we know there’s an infinite amount more
where that came from
deservedly so
or not.

P.S. This is why it’s nice to pray in the orans position.
