God does a lot of things. But if there’s one thing that God doesn’t do, it’s this...

God doesn’t try to be God. 

God has nothing to prove.
For God is... God. 
God just... Is. 

When you and I are trying to be godlike, we are the furthest from God.

When we try to manipulate life and dominate others for our own gain, we are the ungodliest of creatures. We are more like a parasite than God.

It boils down to trust. It’s a release of our yearning for control and power. When we can rest and enjoy this gift of life... When we can be moved by the Spirit that works in and through us in Christ...

That’s Imago Dei territory, friend.

It’s more of a trust-fall than a slog up a hill.
