Daily Pastoral #4

Social media weaponizes goodness. It puts you in a silo with other “good” people and shows you just enough “bad” people in order for you to gain your sense of goodness against. As far as the ego is concerned, without their ‘badness,’ your ‘goodness’ would be in question. 

I pray that God smashes this whole construct to pieces.
I pray that She burns the tree of knowledge of good and evil sooner than later.

The only line between good and bad is the one that runs down the center of each human heart. Locating it elsewhere turns us against each other. When we locate the dividing line accurately within, we can let God take God’s big ole eraser to it and make us whole again.
