At the center of the Christian life
is not a throne,
but a cross.

On the cross, Christ shows us God’s posture
towards the world that God loves so much…

Arms outstretched,
fully exposed,
embracing and absorbing the evil into his body
that aimed to destroy him.

In Christ, God spans the distance
between human and divine
and reveals that God is not the emperor of the universe
or some wrathful and moralistic judge.

God is crucified love.

And that love is extended without a thought
to 100% of LGBTQ+ folks.

Today, we mourn and stand with all who were murdered and harmed at Club Q.
