Giving credit where it's due
The absurd concept of a God who loves the unlovable is a uniquely Christian concept. Before Jesus, this wasn’t a thing.
The religious focus of humanity - from pagan times to our modern meritorious secular world (think Crossfit) - has always been steadied on the beautiful, the glamorous, the glorious, the magnificent, the successful, the clean, the strong, the wise, etc.
A God that loved the unlovable was a notion that didn't exist in human history before Jesus.
Kinda profound, right?
It’s also profound how many ‘Christians’ have turned the faith into just the opposite.
Grace + Godspeed,
