Here's to 2020 - and beyond
Wowza… It’s really hard to believe that it’s the last day of the year. I love the symbolism that’s inherent in 2020 - a number that signifies perfect vision. I pray it’s this for both our individual lives as well as our collective life on this earth. We have a pretty big election coming up in 2020 here in the States. I pray that even more is revealed as our collective vision sharpens.
2019 was a monumental year for me. I started seminary full-time and began my discernment process towards ministry in the ELCA (Lutheran) church, which has been a big undertaking and adjustment for our little family. I’m blessed beyond measure to be able to do this.
If you’re reading this, thanks for being on the other end of this email. I’ve been all over the place on the blog this last year or so. Many thanks for your patience. I’m really happy with where things are right now. I have my longer essays on Medium and my shorter and more personal daily notes here at Substack. I hope it’s working out on your end too.
I pray that 2020 brings you renewed vision, health, mercy, and love. May the turn of the calendar year restore in you a new vigor for life and a lightened burden on your soul. May you come to know God as an active participant in your life rather than a passive bystander. And may you deepen in joy and peace all through the year.
I appreciate you. Happy new year. Here’s to 2020 and beyond.
Grace & Godspeed,
Jonas
