Pssssht… I told myself. This is gonna be awful.
The first seconds of the video that I caught out of the side of my eye as I drove confirmed my cynicism.
“Do you like this song, Dad?” she innocently asked.
I straightened up in my seat… “Naaaah, you know. I like old hymns. It’s more my style.”
And then, about a minute into the song, I felt moisture welling up around my eyes. Yes… I was crying at a praise song by none other than… The Biebs.
What can I say? Jesus softens us. I’ve lost all pride in this area, and you know what?
I think I’m fine with it.
