Congratulations on your seminary graduation. I am a Wartburger as well, having graduated way back in 1979. After 36 years of full time ordained ministry, I am now retired. But I still remember my seminary days with fondness. But after 20 years of schooling, I was totally burned out, and very ready to become a pastor. I hope that for you soon. I benefited a lot from what I learned at Wartburg. But as they say, “Experience is the best teacher.” And when you become a pastor the real learning begins by all the experiences you will have as a pastor. May God bless you in every way as you begin this new stage in your life. What an adventure it will be!

Well, now you've gone and done it. Like, literally. Wow. Super proud of you brother as I hope you are. What an amazing accomplishment. Seriously Jonas. I am eager to hear what's next and what your life, along with Alex and Rory looks like.

While you were busting your butt in deep study and contemplative Lutheran Theology, I also took the last 4 years off and did a crazy, somewhat monastic deep dive. I done gave away all my possessions, and walked away from all my communities (spiritual and recovery.) Got a back pack, sleeping bag, tent, pair of hiking boots, a change of clothes, my cell phone and hiked out of LA. It was the most terrifying and illuminating thing I've ever done. Sound familiar? I felt like I had hit a personal impasse with all things "life" and needed to do something to shake it all up. Anyway, this was not meant to be about me. LOL

I have re-emerged after 4 years and currently landed in Napa, although I am over in London as I write.

I think you're not too far from Tahoe which means we're relatively close. It would be awesome to hang out and have a real proper catch-up. Meanwhile, we could do a WhatsApp or Zoom thing if you're down. I'd love to connect with you is what I'm saying. : )

Congrats again my friend. What a profound and amazing accomplishment!

Well done my brother, well done.

Congratulations! I finished my BS last year - and started my MA this year. I can't wait to get to the other side where I can get a job and put those degrees to work. I'm still in the slog...

You're going to do great! I've been following you for years now and I've seen what you can do. Keep being you, being transparent and reminding us all that God never expects perfection. He's happy with the try, not concerned about the possible fail. Blessings!!!!
