In the heart of it

Jesus reveals
each step of the way
that we have a God
who doesn’t exist outside of
the ambiguity and uncertainty
of human life
but right here
in the midst of it
redeeming it
and making us whole
even while the longing remains.

This is where joy is found;
not outside of the tension
of life
but right here
in the heart of it.
