We’re all impacted by each other’s stories. It’s easy, in our Western individualistic society, to believe that we each live in our own little bubble of drama. The immanent frame has spun closed around us as we make our way as our own little gods through our day.
But I believe this is a false way to see reality.
A limited one, no doubt.
When I share my story, you cannot help but be affected by it. You can make yourself think that you’re not, but you are.
This is why telling stories that are good, beautiful, and true is so important. It’s what a church community has the opportunity to do.
Stories are infectious. We have a chance to spread good ones.

P.S. And the best stories, in my opinion, are stories of life, death, and resurrection.
