Hell is a state of mind but heaven is reality itself.
We all find ourselves in hell every now and again. Hell is a state of mind (that feels like a zip code when things get really hairy). It is an existential location where we feel disconnected from God - the Ground of Being, from ourselves, from our neighbors, and from the natural created world.
Hell is a psycho-spiritual locale that has our egoic false self as the center and God as a distant deity.
But again, this place is not real. Yes, it seems real. And we must deal with that. But heaven, the Kingdom of God, is always at hand.
Heaven is reality itself. The loving gaze and warm embrace of God never truly leaves us.
But oh, how often do we forget about it.
As Ever, Jonas
"Hell is a psycho-spiritual locale that has our egoic false self as the center and God as a distant deity." Never seen it stated so clearly. This was good.
