Thank God we’re not that powerful

The gospel isn’t God saying, “You’re doing everything right. Keep it up.”

That’s not the gospel; it’s an outright lie.

The gospel is God effectively saying, “You know… You’re mucking things up in more ways than you can ever imagine, but my love is far more powerful than any Sin you may have lying around. I love you, and I’m working even while you sleep to redeem all of it.”

Now that’s truly good news.
