Whenever I’d hear that Jesus was without sin, I always thought, “Oh, he didn’t cuss, litter, gamble, drink, etc.” But the deeper meaning is that he didn’t climb up our rickety little ladders of false divinity. He didn’t try to play god (at least, not in the way we would). Even his miraculous healing acts are acts of direct human healing. They were devoid of judgments of “good” and “evil.”
Jesus is the fully human one. While we climb up our ladders to play god, Jesus runs down and empties himself in love to creation.
