Worship

The word worship is derived from the Middle English word, worth-ship.

It points to a way of assigning worth or value to something.

In Christian worship, we ascribe worth-ship to God
who ascribes worth-ship to us,
to our environment,
and all the way out
to the cosmos
which has been called, “Very good.”

In Christian worship,
the horizon of concern starts here
and extends outward to the entire universe
in God’s eternal embrace
