Reconstructed Christians have so much to share with the world about faith. God has broken down our false idols. This means we can relate to a ton (!) of people who are sitting in the scorched rubble of their own faith right now (or have never been given a specific faith tradition). We’ve been there.
There is a lot of church hurt out there. It really does boil down to growing our own relationship with our Lord....and as you put it..."allow ourselves to fall back in love. To realize that the thing we’re mad at (and they’re mad at) isn’t actually the real thing at all." That thing is church hurt. Stay focused (talking to myself)!
REconstructed. I love it. This is a new word for me but not a new concept. Seven years ago I quit religion. God survive but religion, as I knew it, did not. I became a follower of Jesus and started all over. REconstructed is what happened. Thank you Jonas for giving me another word for this journey. BTW, REconstructed was not an event, it is now a lifestyle. I am open to it daily.
