The grand story begins and ends the same way:
with God-with-us.
Everything that happens in between proclaims the same… Even while we screw up royally and hurt others as well as ourselves. Even while we think we’ve run as far away from it as we can. Even while we try to claim it as our own and keep everyone else out (to our own detriment)…
God-with-us,
(including, but not limited to)
God’s own Son, Jesus.
So, the structure, again, is…
God-with-us.
God-with-us.
God-with-us.
In the beginning,
now,
and forevermore.

Thank you Jonas. Throughout the journeys of my life, this....this promise of God to always be with us....is what gives me the most hope each day....its not a hope that every prayer will be answered ...but that through it all, God has been and will be in it with me.
