Hi Jonas. I read your "job description." How different is this from Catholicism. Especially the confession bit? Just interested and not trying to start a firestorm.
Honestly, Ida... I'm not sure. I just know that there are other traditions that place the pastor/priest as being closer to God. Even in our tradition which doesn't - this doesn't stop people from doing it in their heads. Which is just as bad:)
It's so easy when you're the one up there behind the lectern every Sunday. Any position of leadership, I guess. I just always like to remind myself to keep myself in check:)

Many preachers have lost their way and no longer realize that fact.
