I love this Jonas! And totally feel what you’re saying—this is the only time of year that society is screaming to us that we must be jolly and happy, but meanwhile things are still falling apart just as they often do. It’s a confusing ideology, and it isn’t right to just ignore all the bad still going on. (I mean, December is often and unfortunately one of the highest months for suicide each year). Earth can be a terrible place, but God promises this is not our home. We are only here to bring others to Him, so that one day things truly can be “always jolly.” So down here we focus on Him, yes, but that won’t make all the bad go away. Like you said, we must reflect on our humanity, but also reflect on the good God that we have that takes care of us despite that. Thank you for another awesome, non traditional but TRUE message!

But that’s okay. God has you........and this is the reality that helps us balance amidst all we endure......good golly that we can be jolly!

Jonas, I am going to try to put this in a kindly way... but the only way I can say it is that if you are trying to put your readers into depression and despair, you have completely succeeded with this one! It is true that Advent is a time of going within for personal inner reflection, but not to dwell on all the negatives that this illusory reality world is currently appearing to give us. I realize this view may not be your truth or that of the Church, but the entire season of Christmas is a time of great hope and joyful expectation - even during the time of preparation for the Coming One - and also now (for the first time ever) for Mother Gaia and her Humanity.
