True worthiness is accepted, not performed
In the Christian sense, righteousness (worthiness) can only be accepted (from outside of us — through Christ), not performed.
Performative righteousness is a hamster wheel. Especially online where it’s incentivized. It’s an impossible game that only buries us deeper and deeper into the algorithm of our unchallenged biases.
There’s always the option of stepping off altogether.
True worthiness is accepted, not performed.
To accept our worthiness as a complete gift that was locked in place before we drew our first breath.
Then we can go back to posting photos, music videos, and jokes on the internet like we used to do.
Grace + Godspeed,
Jonas
