Due to the general busyness of the last year or so, my contemplative practice has been slacking. I know… God still loves me. God doesn’t ‘require’ me to do this (or anything, really). That’s not the issue at hand. The issue is, unless I take time to sit and sink into my creator's oceanic love and presence, I easily default to living as if it were not so.
I don’t meditate, and when I’m diving into the Word, I prefer silence, not background music/noise. However, I did listen to the music for a bit when I went back to my Bible study in hopes of finding the words that were missing this morning (I do an online Bible study with my church family through the Bible app where we can share insights or thoughts). I found the words, so maybe the background music helped.
