Because you're right, except that the Lord had already shattered me, when my beloved wife and best friend of 40 years went home to Jesus last year.
He turned my life upside down, made me see all the junk and wrong attitudes and false beliefs I had of myself and God. Since then He has been hard at work on me, changing everything bit by bit, day by day.
It has been a year and 4 months now. The grief is not as sharp and deep and constant as it was in the beginning. But I am so glad that I had the Lord close by me throughout this time.
I appreciate every prayer that you pray for me.
Some things are very hard to get through without the one who had always been by my side (humanly speaking). It's like a part of me has been amputated.
